Some puppies endure more in their first few months than most do in a lifetime. Ark is one of those puppies, and his transformation at Animal SOS Sri Lanka is nothing short of a miracle.

🌟 His Journey

Ark arrived at our sanctuary gates on March 5th, 2026, at about 3.5 months old, and he was fighting for his life on multiple fronts. He was suffering from a horrific, maggot-infested wound on his neck, covered in ticks, and testing positive for both Babesia (a tick-borne disease) and the deadly Parvo virus.

It was a grueling battle, but Ark beat the odds! Today, his physical wounds have healed—leaving behind a brave little scar on his neck—and his spirit remains completely unbroken.

• Age: Approx. 6 months old

• Gender: Male

• Health: Fully recovered from Parvo and Babesia! (He has a scar on his neck from his past wound, which we think just looks like a badge of courage).

🍯 Personality

• A Gentle Soul: Ark has a remarkably soft, gentle nature. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body.

• Shy yet Curious: He takes a moment to assess new situations, but his natural curiosity always wins, and he loves to explore.

• The Ultimate Lap Dog: His absolute favorite thing in the world? Being held in your arms. He feels safest when he’s cuddled close to his humans.

• Incredibly Friendly: Once he knows you, he is pure love and affection.
