Sanju is a calm, sensitive dog from Sri Lanka, who has been living in Switzerland (Zurich) for almost a year and is slowly but surely blooming. Whoever gives him time wins an incredibly loyal, affectionate friend for life.

Sanju is a quiet, highly sensitive dog from Sri Lanka who has been living in Switzerland for almost a year. He spent his first months of life in an animal shelter in the south of Sri Lanka, after being dropped off at its door as a small puppy. These experiences have shaped him: He perceives his surroundings very consciously and needs time to gain confidence. Once he has built this trust, he becomes an affectionate, gentle companion who loves closeness and cuddling and always shows his playful side.

Since Sanju perceives every change in his environment, he needs a stable and quiet environment. He first meets new people carefully from a distance, but is never aggressive. He gets along with other quiet dogs and cats without any problems. Once a week he visits a dog day care, where he integrates well into the group. A home with a confident, older dog could give him extra security.

Despite many advances, life is difficult for him in our current living situation. We live in the middle of the city of Zurich on a busy road with many stimuli, noises and constantly changing situations. For a sensitive dog like Sanju, this means permanent stress. He would benefit from a quieter home in a rural or natural environment, where he has the opportunity to arrive at his own pace and continue to gain confidence.

Sanju needs regular training, understanding and a lot of attention. That is why we are looking for people with dog experience - ideally with experience in dealing with sensitive or insecure dogs. It is not suitable for first-time dog owners.
