Nuuki is the sweetest and goofiest little boy, with the biggest heart 🩷

He was born in 03/2024 in Sri Lanka, spent some time on the street and an animal shelter until he came to Germany when he was about a year old. A lovely couple in Hamburg took him in and he spent about 8 months with them before he came to us.

Nuuki loves to play, loves to learn new things and be outside. He loves to play with other dogs, but understands their cues if they don’t want to. The same goes for humans, he is able to entertain himself just fine if no one is able to play with him. 

Nuuki is very good at communicating his needs, whether that be with body language or vocally. Nuuki has a tendency to guard his resources (mainly food), but for us this has gotten a lot better with time and trust. 

Unfortunately, Nuuki probably had some bad experiences with humans before coming to Germany, which is how it came to two biting incidents with people he loves. He immediately felt bad about it, but as we don’t know the trigger we also don’t know how to handle this behavior. 

It breaks our hearts to let him go, but we know that it’s the best for us and especially for him as our home is not the best environment for him. Nuuki is sometimes anxious, gets scared easily and he will let you know if there is someone in your home that is not supposed to be there. He gets overwhelmed by stimuli quite easily, he does not like the wind or tarps or anything that makes loud noises. 

Because of his time on the street, he also has a tendency to eat everything he finds on the street whether it’s edible or not. 

Nuuki also has a social battery just like humans that needs to be recharged every now and then. In moments like this he loves to lie in a corner by himself and he doesn’t want to be disturbed. 

Due to all of this, we wish for him to have a home where it’s quiet without a lot of stimuli on walks and where he can have all the space he needs and just do his thing as he is also stubborn and has his own head. Nevertheless, Nuuki loves to be close by his loved ones, but oftentimes does not want to be touched.
