This sweetheart is Yara! 💗

Yara is a bright, cheeky, and joyful 6-month-old pup with a heart full of love and mischief. She's bursting with personality and ready to bring laughter and affection to a forever home 🥰

Yara's journey began in the most heartbreaking way. At just three months old, she was found alone in the middle of a rural highway during one of our feeding rounds. Starving and disoriented, she was desperately digging into the tar on the road, trying to satisfy the hunger that had clearly plagued her for far too long. She was dangerously thin, barely able to walk, and seemingly unaware of the danger she was in.

We couldn't leave her behind. So we scooped her up and brought her into the care of a loving foster home. There, Yara experienced kindness for the first time: soft bedding, nourishing meals (chicken liver was a big hit!), and gentle hands that nursed her back to health. Her tick fever was treated, and slowly but surely, the light returned to her eyes 🕯️

As her strength returned, so did her spunky spirit and what a spirit it is! Yara is full of playful energy and endearing mischief. She loves tumbling around with other pups (and even bigger dogs!) and always manages to find a little trouble to get into, just enough to keep you smiling. She’s discovered the small joys in life, like napping in a cozy chair or playing with a coconut branch, and she’s making the absolute most of her second chance.

Yara is also incredibly friendly and people-focused. She adores attention, is eager to please, and loves making new friends: human, canine, and even feline. She's well-socialized, comfortable in a home environment, and adaptable to new surroundings. By the time she's ready to travel, she'll still be young enough to settle into a new life with ease.

We absolutely adore Yara and believe she’s meant for a family who will love her as deeply as she loves back. She belongs in a home where she’ll be cherished, cuddled, and given every opportunity to continue thriving.

She currently weighs about 7kg and is expected to grow to around 13–14kg when fully grown. Her sweet face and deep brown eyes can melt many hearts and her paintbrush tip tail waves in the air as she bounces away to her next mission. 

She's healthy, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and best of all, she's passed her rabies titre test, which means she’s ready to fly to her forever home as early as September 2025.
