This is our handsome Leap 🌟
A fighter, a friend, and a total sweetheart!!
Leap got his name for a special reason: he was found on a leap day (29th February 2024), a rare date for a rare kind of dog. But Leap's journey hasn’t been easy. When he first came to us, he was severely emaciated, dangerously anemic, and barely hanging on. Caring locals who had been feeding him reached out when they noticed he’d stopped eating and seemed to be fading away.
Blood tests revealed that Leap was suffering from Babesia gibsoni, a serious tick-borne disease that claims the lives of many dogs in Sri Lanka. But Leap lived up to his name. He bounced back with incredible strength, heart, and resilience.
Today, Leap is the picture of health and happiness. He’s grown into a handsome, strong, and friendly boy who adores humans and gets along beautifully with other dogs. He’s playful, sociable, and would thrive in a home with a big garden or open space where he can run and play freely. Since he is a bigger lad who loves a good run, we would advise that he is placed with older children!
This lovable goof is even a bit ticklish when held, just one of the many ways he shows his sweet, affectionate personality.
If you're looking for a loyal companion who’s beaten the odds and is ready to leap into your life with love and joy, Leap is your boy!
Leap is fully vaccinated, microchipped, sterilized and very healthy.
